Although we had an ABS display in a satellite location at the 2007 Southern Baptist Convention in San Antonio, TX last year, we were "officially" accepted as an exhibitor for the 2008 convention in Indianapolis, IN.
Our booth was located in the area with Baptist Colleges. We had almost 500 visitors and told the ABS story to many pastors and SBC staffers, as well as greeted Eagle Scouts, BSA leaders and families.
We had an effective "give-away" as our tag machine was very busy and hundreds of Baptists now have an ABS card on the back of their personal luggage tag.
Many thanks to David Richardson of the BSA Relationship Division, who arranged our booth and tag machine, and Don York of the BSA staff who was our on-site contact and also worked the booth with, NAMB Chaplain Scott Fleming, ABS Chaplain Rev. Sam Houston, ABS Secretary Merri Anderson, ABS President Rev. Chip Turner, ABS Newsletter Editor Judy Dorn, and ABS Webmaster and NAMB Chaplain, Jack Dorn.

ABS President, Chip Turner has already received several positive comments on our booth, the information we provided, and the effectiveness of our ABS booth staff. One such comment follows:
“Chip,
I heard a good report on the ABS Exhibit at the SBC. A member of FBCJ’s choir that was at the Convention called her husband yesterday and bragged on the booth and those staffing it. Her husband passed her comments on to me last night. She is the mother of one of Troop 8’s Scouts, but is not one to pass around compliments that are not earned. “
